This Organ Mechanical Bank is a faithful reproduction of the original made in 1882. Place your coin on the monkey's hand, pull the lever on the side of the bank and the monkey will drop your coin into the organ while removing his hat in a 'thank-you' gesture. Please note: as this bank is a replica of the bank which preceded the existence of quarters, the mechanical function at the top will not work for coins larger than nickels, but quarters can be easily deposited though the bottom. A popular gift for fans of antiques, the Organ bank will hold an average of $75 in coins. The entire bank is made from cast iron, and painting has been applied by hand. The plug on the bottom is also made of metal, and is released by rotating it. The Organ bank's measurements are 8 3/4" tall x 5 1/2" long x 3 1/2" deep. You can expect fast delivery--we ship the Organ mechanical bank by the next business day from your order. A big picture of the Organ mechanical banks is shown below. This coin bank is not recommended for children under 4.
